More model informationThis is Opuntia microdasys, also known as angel’s-wings, bunny ears cactus, or polka-dot cactus. It is native to central and northern Mexico. Instead of spines it has numerous white or yellow glochids 2–3 mm long in dense clusters. Cactus glochids easily detach from the plant and lodge in the skin, causing irritation upon contact, so this cactus must be handled with extreme caution.
