One half of the Calder Stones, originally a neolithic tomb situated in Allerton, Liverpool. The stones have been moved from their first location, where kept in a Victorian greenhouse, then now located in a sheltered display area in the Reader building in Calderstones Park. Famous for their rock carvings, comparatively rare and bearing similarity to markings in the Knowth/Newgrange complex in the Boyne Valley, Ireland.
