The archaeological works carried out in Campo de Cebolas allowed the identification of a set of preserved contexts associated to the port and commercial activity along the riverside front of Lisbon. Most of the finds belong to the 17th century and the establishment of Ribeira Velha market/dockyard; the 18th century finds tell us about, the new Lisbon rebuilt by the Marquês de Pombal after the earthquake of 1755; and 19th century finds are related with the remodeling project of the Port of Lisbon.
