ENG Capital from the portico of the pre-Romanesque monastery of San Miguel de Escalada (León, Castile and León, Spain). Dated to the 10th century, it was probably made specifically for the church, in which many other elements are reused, such as the Roman shaft on which it stands. Stylistically, it copies Roman Corinthian models.
