AS1 Captain’s Quarters.

A small interior scene used for my first major project in my first year studying Game Art at the University of Northampton. All props except the walls and floor are under 500 tris, with limited resolution on texture map size. Much has been learnt since this project, but I am still very proud of what I achieved.

I wrote a small piece of contextual narrative for the scene which reads as follows “The royal brig HMS Sutherland was captured and repurposed for piracy in the Caribbean islands in the early 19th Century. Now renamed Hermes after the Greek legend, it’s captain seeks to earn early retirement by trading stolen sugarcane and rum to the Americans. Evidence of a battle-worn existence shows throughout the ship, after many years in service the Hermes itself should also be due a retirement soon”
