CAR-15 | danny archer’s rifle
The CAR-15 is an old-school M16-based rifle using in the 1970s and finding use even in the 90s. The CAR-15 is easily distinguishable through it’s “commando” style stock, the fixed carry handle to the upper reciever and fixed front sight. Despite it’s use of dated parts, a lot of modern concepts are reflected in it, such as the use of press pads and higher mounted optics– albeit as a necessary adaptation to the weapon platform.
This particular model was made famous by it’s use in the movie, Blood Diamond, by Leonardo DiCaprio.
in america, it’s bling-bling. but out here it’s bling-bang, huh?
