More model information

The carrack was a type of large ship used for trade, warfare and exploration in the 15th and early 16th centuries. It had its origins in the Mediterranean and was a development of the cog. Carracks were large enough to be stable in heavy seas and had ample space for cargo and provisions. In the Nordic countries this type of vessel was often called holk and was clinker built. Original model by R Weerner, 1935. 3D Model by Adam de Kaminski for SMTM, 2023.
