Carved sandstone face recovered from the Lower Sand Lake Site (47-LC-45), La Crosse County, WI. The front shows a nose and two eyes which are depicted using the “weeping eye” motiff. The back has two concentric circles surrounding some diagonal lines which have been interpreted as possibly representing a thunderbird motiff.
