A stone head from the 10th to 11th century created for worship; it was once part of a bigger statue used in a temple for religious purposes in China.
The stone Buddha Head is part of the the collection of Asian + South East Asian works of art that were personally owned by John Young and then later donated to the John Young Museum of Art in 1999.
The John Young Museum is a learning learning complex on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus.
