More model informationThis quartzite model depicts the face of the beautiful Queen Nefertiti. It was discovered at the workshop of the sculptor Thutmose in Amarna and is believed to have been the prototype used by the artist to create other statues of the queen, including the renowned head on display at the Neues Museum in Berlin. Therefore, Thutmose is presumed to be the creator of the famous bust of Akhenaten’s Great Royal Wife, Nefertiti, now exhibited in Berlin, and this model was likely utilized in the making of that astonishing masterpiece.
