Cast of David Graham Seal, NRS3D ModelNoAI
This is a cast seal of Sir David Graham, who died between 1327 and 1330.
He was the eldest son of 3 or 4 children of Sir Patrick Graham of Kincardine, who was killed in battle in 1296. David fought alongside his father in the First War of Scottish Independence.
At first reluctant to support Robert the Bruce (as he had favoured the Balliol cause), after Bannockburn Sir David became a Bruce adherent. His seal is attached to the Declaration of Arbroath.
