O Castelo de Paderne, localiza-se na freguesia de Paderne, parte do concelho de Albufeira. É um dos sete castelos simbolizados na faixa carmesim que rodeia o escudo branco das quinas da Bandeira Nacional.
Construído no século XII pelos árabes, foi conquistado em 1280 por D. Paio Peres Correia. Trata-se de um excelente exemplo da arquitetura militar muçulmana, com construção em taipa que ficou bastante danificada pelo terramoto de 1755.

Paderne Castle is located in the parish of Paderne, part of the municipality of Albufeira. It is one of the seven castles symbolized by the crimson band that surrounds the white shield on the corners of the National Flag.
Built in the 12th century by the Arabs, it was conquered in 1280 by D. Paio Peres Correia. It is an excellent example of Muslim military architecture, with rammed earth construction that was badly damaged by the 1755 earthquake.
