Castle Law 3D Model
Castle Law is a complex series of enclosing elements surrounding the summit of Glenearnhill immediately to the south of Perth, Scotland. The central fort has been heavily damaged by antiquarian excavators who excavated the complete circuit of the inner and outer wall faces. Although this showed that this inner enclosure was timber-laced, little else was recorded in detail. About 8 - 15 metres outside this, another bank measures about 5m in thickness. Additional outworks are apparent to the north which surrounds a natural terrace and a cluster of possible cirlcuar hut terraces. Althouhg the central fort is likely Iron age in date, the layout of the outworks are similar ot Early Medevial nuclear forts.
