More model informationBuilt into the top of the eastern wall at the terminal of the Souterrain at Castle Law hill fort, is this cup marked stone. Although previously only five cup marks have been recorded, this model indicates that there may in fact be six.
The markings on the stone may date to between 6,000 and 4,000 years ago, meaning they potentially predate the monument in which they are now placed by multiple thousands of years. The souterrain has been interpreted as dating to the 3rd century AD.
