This was a small personal project done over the past couple weeks when I was not busy doing other grad school work. This project was a real rollercoaster of a ride for me. I was really struggling to stay as true as I could to the original reference by an artist named Mike Yamada. At first, the shapes seemed simple but boy howdy was I wrong.
Anyway learned a lot.
Modeled almost entirely in Maya with some small added paneling and small detail in Zbrush. With one exception, I was only able to make the base body shape by using Zbrush 4R8s new live boolean features. If you are interested in the process please send me a DM or feel free to check out my blog in which I posted the workflow.
