Cavallo Carafa 3D Model
In the courtyard of the Carafa palace, located at Via San Biagio dei Librai 121, Naples, is preserved the terracotta copy of the bronze horse head 1.75 meters high, part of an equestrian monument Donatello never finished for King Alfonso V d ‘ Aragon. Donatellian sculpture remained in place until 1809 when the last prince Carafa di Colubrano donated it to the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, replacing the original with the terracotta copy, which was then attached to the bottom wall of the courtyard.
