This scan was one of my most challenging and tedious yet.

In order to reach this cave, I had to climb a difficult vertical rock wall close to a mountaintop in the eastern Carpathian Mountains, while carryinng my photography gear. Timing was of the essence here, as the chamber was optimally lit by natural sunlight for only a few hours a day, through its relatively narrow entrance. The capture still lasted well over an hour, due to the long exposures necessary to compensate for insufficient lighting. The shooting conditions inside were not too friendly either, due to the low ambient temperature, changing air currents, and dampness.
