Cave 3 also located in Cave Dale looks like it may have seen later activity in the form of early lead mine exploration; something that is common in the area. Though no clear trace of a fire were observed, except for some dark calcite material near the ceiling, and so one sample of some of the broken karst material was collected. The results from this single sample contain an extremely high Ba result. This might suggest that the outer crust material collected through this study all appear to have this higher Ba.
