Fossil ammonoid “snake stone” featuring a human-carved head of a snake; specimen exhibits ceratite sutures. Collection locality of specimen is uncertain. Specimen is on display at the Museum of the Earth, Ithaca, New York. Maximum diameter of specimen is approximately 12 cm. Model by Emily Hauf.
