More model informationFinally got around to doing this next course! I learned a lot! Dense, to the point, and overall extremely informative.
Believe it or not, painting this thing took me like a couple hours? I really did try my best to play around with the painting tools and options, and see what I could do. My biggest obstacle is that all I have to work with is a mouse and absolutely zero painting experience. I got as far as blocking in the colors, then I couldn’t figure out how to add detail, so I painted the whole thing in pride colors and decided to regret nothing.
How do you paint right angles with a round brush, anyway? If you know, please tell me!
So, what did I learn doing this exercise?
- Painting is Hard!
- I could absolutely have unwrapped it better. Like a quarter of the texture space is unused. The shaft is split into two offset parts that didn’t layer anywhere as neat as the ax faces.
- Painting is important, and pretty fun!
