Zwei Plana eines neuzeitlichen Kalkmeilers in der Nähe der Hofstelle “Hof” nahe Cham-Oberwil, im (mittlerweile gerodeten) Äbnetwald. Seit den 1990er Jahren führt die Kantonsarchäologie Zug hier Rettungsgrabungen im Vorfeld des Kiesabbaus durch, der Kalkmeiler wurde im Herbst 2013 unter der Leitung von David Jecker und Simon Maier ergraben. In solchen Öfen wurden bis in das 20. Jahrhundert hinein Kalksteine unter hoher Hitze zu Branntkalk umgewandelt, der unverzichtbarer Rohstoff etwa für Mörtel war.
