The Chapel Of Nossa Senhora De Baluarte on Mozambique Island in Mozambique is the oldest European building in the Southern Hemisphere, built in 1522 by the Portuguese. It is positioned on the outside corner of the St. Sebastian Fortress facing the sea. The site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Chapel and Fortress were documented by the Zamani team in June and December 2009. 1000 laser scans, photogrammetric images, GPS points and panoramas were captured to document the Chapel and Fortress.
