The CRSG M1915, often named for its lead designer; Louis Chauchat, was the primary light-machine gun of the French and American armed forces during WW1. It has gained infamy for its crude design and reliability problems, and it ultimately killed its inventor, who died from the inhalation of catridge smoke before the war’s end. Still, I love its industrial looks and powerful report.
