The fastest land mammal reaching up to speeds of about 70 Mph. The cheetah is a carnivore and was once used as a hunting animal by hunters. Human hunters would cage them and then release them when they wanted to catch other slower animals. Cheetahs usually stock there prey slowly then run up to the prey and trip it and then go in for the neck with their teeth. The females are induced ovulators (ovulation occurs when stimulated before mating). Gestation is nearly 3 months which can produce 1 to 8 cubs. They are part of the Felinae family.
