More model informationThe Cannon Site wreck lies in two parts at Chesil Beach in Dorset. It was discovered in 2010 by divers taking part in the Shipwreck Project. The offshore site lies 220 m south of the inshore site and consists of 7 cast iron English cannons, one of which is probably a six-pounder, cast in the 2nd half of the 17th century. Because the cannons are different to those found on the inshore site, it is thought that these are 2 different wooden wreck sites. The site has recently been designated under the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973. For more details see our website.
