ChM PV9562 - “Carcharodon” megalodon
One tooth associated with megatoothed shark remains. The placement of this species within the genus “Carcharodon” is still a matter of debate, however it is still a synonym for this species and is widely used by many avocational collectors. More recently it has been proposed that megalodon belongs to the genus “Otodus”.
