This is a large size goblet - dimensions: diameter 11cm heighth 9cm.

The design is called kikukarakusa after the Japanese name for Chrysantemum - kiku.

The size is just right for a woman’s hands, if she holds it with both hands.

The cup is very suitable to put large ice cubes in for drinks, or for Japanese shochu mixed with hot water.

Everyone of these cups has its own character and unique pattern.

Kensuke Aoyama is the son of master Sokei Aoyama (learn more about the master potter here). Kiln: Kusanokashiragama, Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture.
