City of Adelaide is a clipper ship, built in Sunderland, England, and launched in 1864. Built by William Pile, Hay and Co. for transporting passengers and goods between Britain and Australia, the ship made 23 annual return voyages between 1864 and 1887 from London and Plymouth to Adelaide, South Australia. City of Adelaide is the world’s oldest surviving clipper ship, one of only two that survive – the other is Cutty Sark. (Source: Wikipedia).
