More model informationThis wreck is located at the base of the limestone cliffs on the western side of Rocky Bay at an average depth of approximately 1.0m. Built by Lawrence and Sons as a side-paddle steamer in 1872, the vessel measured 6.5m long and 5m across the beam and was powered by two 20 horsepower engines installed and fitted out by G. Randell and Co. In 1898 the vessel was converted into a lighter and registered with the Harbour and Lights Department before being abandoned at its current location circa 1900. City of Perth is protected under the Maritime Archaeology Act 1973 (WA).
