Clach a’ Mhearlich, Rosskeen, near Invergordon, Highland, Scotland.
This Class 1 pictish symbol stone stands to a height of c.1.8 metres. There are two easily recognisable symbols, these are a pair of Pincers or Tongs and a Step -Symbol. What actually is incised above the Pincers is unclear, the top symbol might be a crescent, but there are some traces of arcs beneath it, which to me suggest an arch symbol or others think there may be a mirror. Between the Arch and the Pincers is a three sided rectangular shape, but in different lighting which I can’t easily achieve in Sketchfab there looks to be a circle here and upper part of the rectangle disappears. The stone is quite eroded making interpretation difficult.
