For my personal development in my university I set off to create my own assignment to show that I have developed certain skills in 3D modelling. For this, I created a sculpt that shows the features of an aging face.
The best example I could think off was none other than Clint Eastwood. A legendary actor with a legendary face. The perfect subject for my little project.
Next to this high detail sculpt, I wanted to test how low I could go in terms of polygons with the use of a baked normal map. This result will be shown in a seperate file on my account. It was very interesting that I was able to use a relatively lo-poly model that still resembled the detail of the sculpture by “faking the detail” with this normal map.
Hopefully you like what you see and if you have any further questions or advice, please contact me. :)
