More model informationIn May 2018 staff and students from the Achill Archaeological Field School recorded a partially surviving kiln eroding out of the soft sandy shoreline at Cloghmore, Achill Island. The structure is a small dry-stone vernacular structure and is likley to be 18th or early 19th century in date. Most of it has been destroyed by coastal erosion.
