Low resolution model of the wreck of a coal barge in the Bay of Greifswald. The 40m long and 5.6m wide barge is a typical flat-bottomed river and inshore craft of the late 19th to early 20th century. The construction is representative of Pomeranian shipbuilding and the overall dimensions are typical for a so called Haffkahn or Pommernkahn designed for the coastal inland waters of the southern Baltic. The cargo consisted of coal briquettes produced by the Ilse Bergbau Actiengesellschaft in the Lausitz area.
Niedrig aufgelöstes Modell des Wracks eines 40 m langen Haffkahns des späten 19. oder frühen 20. Jahrhunderts. Die Ladung besteht aus Briketts der Ilse Bergbau Aktiengesellschaft.
Photogrammetry: P. Stencel, Landesamt für Kultur und Denkmalpflege Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
