More model informationThis sandstone beach cobble was picked up to use as a handy tool. The wear marks show it was used for two different purposes. One end has smoothed facets from grinding something, perhaps preparing food or pigments. The other end was damaged from pounding it against something, perhaps again in food preparation. Length 66mm. Found during excavations on an Iron Age settlement at Cill Donnain, South Uist, Scotland.
