This model of the Cockerham Sands Bombing Range Quadrant Tower was made during the course of a two day geophysics session, undertaken by volunteers with staff from Durham University and the Morecambe Bay Partnership. While everone cycled through the various geophysics tasks I was asked to quickly demonstrate the process for capturing photos for photogrammetric model making. Thanks everyone who helped with the photos and moving bags/wire/equipment out of shots.

The tower was shot over the course of an hour from the ground and a 5-metre mast, so there is no roof to the model; the two small rooms below the stairs were not photographed internally due to barbed wire and vegetation. A more detailed photographic capture and, ideally, a drone for overhead views would fix the texture glitches here and there - maybe a project for the future.
