More model informationThis pot was made during the Qing dynasty, a time when Chinese exports of porcelain to Europe were very high. Exports especially increased when armorial porcelain became popular. The political movement of displaying coats of arms pushed Europeans to purchase these porcelains. Until the Europeans could learn how to recreate Chinese porcelain, they relied on the export of these products that were typically sold in sets and held a strong significance.
