Wooden coffin of pharaoh Ramses II in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo, Egypt (CG 61020). This is the wooden coffin in which the mummified remains of Ramses II were found when it was recovered as part of the Royal Mummy Cache in tomb DB320. His tomb had been opened in antiquity and his mummy removed from its original coffin, rewrapped and placed in this reused coffin before being reburied. It has been argued that this wooden coffin was originally made to house the remains of pharaoh Horemheb, before being reused for the reburial of Ramses II.
