More model information

One of the coffins of Sennedjem discovered in 1886 in his tomb at Deir el-Medineh, Egypt. Sennedjem was a mason lived and worked in Deir el-Medineh, the village of the tomb builders, during the 19th dynasty. As of October 2019, this coffin is on display in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo.

This model was created from 130 photographs (Canon EOS Rebel T71) using Metashape 1.6.1 and Blender 3D 2.8. It was photographed in October 2019. The scanning process resulted in a model with incomplete geometry in parts of the cornice molding as well as the wooden sled on which it rests. This geometery was repaired and reconstructed using Blender 3D 2.8. Blender was also used to decimate the model from 500M+ polygons to the current 68K. Textures were baked from the textures of the original high polygon model. A comparison of the two models can be seen here: https://skfb.ly/6RLKE
