a model of the side of a coke over and quenching tower. This would produce coke for use in the blast furnaces. The quenching tower would dump water onto newly fired coke, to quickly cool it down.
This 3D model asset was made for the co-location VR heritage experience Steel Town Tales. Steel Town Tales was supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (www.heritagefund.org.uk) and aimed to preserve the rich legacy of Corby, North Northamptonshire and to explore the enduring connection between the town’s history, its people, and the ongoing evolution of steel making.
