Coloseum Column

Within the Colosseum, various column pieces and architectural fragments are displayed to illustrate its original design and styles. These include sections of Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian columns, which were used in ascending order across the three levels. Made from travertine and marble, the fragments include column drums, capitals, and decorative elements. Some are reconstructed to show their original appearance, while others are preserved as found. These pieces highlight the Colosseum’s engineering and artistic significance in ancient Rome.
