More model informationThis was a site I found in 2017. We excavated it in late 2018. It represents the oldest Mammoth remains found in Utah and the Colorado Plateau, dating back to around 130ka.
Visible in this 3D model are a few sections of large tusk, a random assortment of bones, and a well preserved mammoth tooth.
Found on Utah SITLA lands, being curated at the Natural History Museum of Utah.
OSL dating of the site and surrounding terraces was done by Utah State University Luminescence Laboratory.
