More model informationCommand bunker Kemmel At the beginning of the fifties of the previous century, in full Cold War, Belgium, France, Great Britain, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, built a coordination bunker for the West European air defence under the terms of the Treaty of Brussels. When the bunker was finally finished, the newly established NATO installed its own system which rendered the bunker in Kemmel unused. Only in 1963 the sypreme command of the Belgian Armed Forces decided to set up the bunker as a headquarters in case of war, conflict or training.
