In bin-picking, and specifically piece picking for logistics e-commerce and warehousing, the point cloud quality is extremely important for AI, machine learning, and detection algorithms. For a successful bin-picking application, the result includes detecting and separting all parts (called high SKU coverage), picking them properly and emptying the bin (reduce mispicks), and placing them in the right location. This is achievable when using a hiqh quality industrial 3D sensor from Zivid. This piece picking scene is captured with the Zivid Two 3D camera, demonstrating the 3D image quality achieved on a wide variety of objects often found in a warehouse automation scenario.
