More model informationThis is the skull of an oviraptorid dinosaur named Conchoraptor. The specimen was found in 2018 in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia. Although Conchoraptor was previously known, this specimen helps to fill in some of the gaps in its anatomy. The eye socket (orbit) is enormous, taking up more than half the skull, which, instead of teeth, has a sharp beak. The palate is reinforced to help deal with its herbivorous diet. © Institute of Paleontology and Geology, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia; © Gregory Funston, www.gregfunston.com
