More model informationA large copper alembic is an example of the copperware stills produced by Alexandrian and Arabian alchemists. The vessels are hammered into shape from sheets of copper and then riveted or soldered. Copper stills are quick to boil and maintain their heat easily, and therefore were popular among European alchemists.
