Most of the mined cavity was presumably created in prehistoric times by firesetting to extract the fahlore for copper-production. In the late Middle Ages and in the last centuries prospections/minor ore extractions was carried out using hammer and chisel and blasting, respectively.
The documentation was realized during a SFM-workshop of the research center HiMAT in cooperation with the Institute of Geology of the University of Innsbruck using six different cameras.
