The nabataens used the classical architectural orders, but theydecorated them in their own style.

This capital carved of the Sharah limestone, is decorated with grapes and a small head of Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and vines, whom the nabateans equatedwith their head god Dhu-Shara.This and other similar capitals adorned the door-frame of a largehall in a Nabatean residence at Bayda, Which was the main grape and wine producing area in the vicinity of Raqmu-Petra

Les nabatéens ont utilisé les ordres architecturaux classiques, mais les ont décorés dans leur propre style.
