More model informationThe Cornelia B. Windiate was a 140 foot long three masted wooden schooner that disappeared in 1875 with its crew of 9. It was thought to have sank in Lake Michigan but it was found over a century later in Lake Huron. It’s very intact with its stern cabin and wheel, rigging, artifacts, anchors, deadeyes and the ominous yawl boat as a reminder that the crew didn’t make it.
This is my deepest model to date at 185 feet deep in 38f degree water. It took 37 minutes of bottom time and 55 minutes of deco. I shot 1844 images to produce this model. – Becky Kagan Schott

@BeckyKaganSchott Thank you for the answer!
@ASAteacher Thank you very much. Its a lot of years of building the dive experience, photography and then combining it with the photogrammetry. I'm feeling very pleased with the results. I still have a lot to improve on but i'm getting there. My husband hasn't done any photogrammetry with the drone. We should try. For now it's mostly been underwater. He is 3D printing my models though!
@rlacasse67 Sue, i shoot a nikon D850 and used a Nikkor 16mm fisheye
Impressive result. Would you kindly share camera and lens?
@BeckyKaganSchott - thanks, amazing work at such a long way down... that is dedication. Did your husband ever do anything with the drones?
Cheers - Dave McCreary
@sansuiso I did do a texture in metashape bu ti didn't care for it. This is pretty darn close to what i got out of it. I had some blobs in metashape i got rid of but it came out pretty clean! I shot fairly close to the wreck so there was little to clean up
@ASAteacher Thank you, that is clay that has been moved by current so the rudder is somewhat suspended. Or it's because people used to move the wheel which moved the rudder and maybe that carved out the clay.
amazing details!!!, why is their a void under the rudder?
Very neat model! Impressive. Is it straight from Metashape or did you have to do a bit of cleanup?
