This is a model of SARS Cov 2, the virus responsible for the pandemic that started in 2019 in the Chinese city of Wuhan and became known as Covid 19.
The model is updated with research results obtained until March 15, 2020 regarding its functioning and protein components in a schematic way, but at the same time with a scientifically based representation. All these components are individually illustrated by specific notes and contain links to the sources available online that were used. SARS Cov 2 is a coronavirus, one of the many families in which these small machines are classified between living and inert matter. For a general overview of what viruses are, how they are made, how they replicate, how they make us sick and how they are fought, 'Le Scienze' has made available for free a very interesting notebook that can be downloaded here http://bit.ly/LeScienze-Virus (in Italian).
