More model informationJanet Herring, a fellow volunteer at the Carlisle Roman Bathhouse excavation, spent several days carefully uncovering the remains of a partial cow skull, complete with a beautifully preserved horn. The find was located just beneath what is believed to be the entrance to a Roman temple—adding both intrigue and context to its position.
Before the artifact was lifted, I had the opportunity to create this 3D model to digitally preserve it in situ.
A heartfelt thank you to Janet for her guidance and collaboration during our time in the trench—and to the entire excavation team for an unforgettable few days on one of Britain’s most fascinating Roman sites.
